Yay, I have time to get back to my regular blogging schedule because (insert drumroll) I AM FINISHED WITH MY UNDERGRAD DEGREES!!!! Wow, did I just get to write that? Now, I'm technically finished with my degrees, however, I will not walk until May-after I finish my student teaching! I got the school of my first choice, but not the teacher I listed. That night was full of tears, because I always want everything to be perfect and go as planned. I know that won't always happen. But it was still a minor heartbreaker for me to finish my degrees and be so so so excited to student teach, and then I don't get what I had wanted. I did luck out with my cooperating teacher though because he teaches ALL U.S. History and that's what my focus is on. I'm even more excited because I will get to teach my class about Emmett Till and put
my spin on things. Yikes, I can't believe it's here!
Leaving campus on Thursday after my last final was
very surreal. I have always believed that I would accomplish this goal, but I never thought about how I would feel when it was actually here! Waking up today and not having to go tutor anyone, work on research, write a paper, complete an assignment, etc...WAS AMAZING!!! I feel like an adult now, even though almost everyone who meets me still puts me at 22.
Right, I'm surprised i don't have 100 best friends now! I'm not 22 anymore and I'm learning to accept that :)
My apartment complex is having a patio/balcony decorating contest on Wednesday, I think...Anyways, I have decorations up, but now I need to put more up. I'm extremely competitive! Ever since the flyer went out a couple of days ago I've noticed people putting up lights, etc. What?!? Don't just put 'em up for the contest. You should already have your lights up, duh! Here are a couple of decoratioins I have up outside right now. I'll post some pics of my inside decorations in my next post. I'm working on handmade candycane decorations to put some extra oomph on my patio!
