2012, done. I seriously cannot believe how quickly time has flown by over the past year! I don't think time has ever gone so fast (for me) before! Seriously, just 365 days ago I was beginning my student teaching semester. Since then, I have graduated from college
finally, moved to a completely new city, and began my teaching career. I am so thankful for every single opportunity 2012 gave me, it couldn't have been a better year. My first half of teaching is a complete blur, a blur I hope I never remember now that it's over. I'm looking forward to 2013 and all of the personal and professional growth I will see.
2012 also brought new revelations for me. I learned that health is definitely not anything to take for granted. I have shared some of these issues with a few friends, but not many people. In late November I was diagnosed with having an overactive thyroid, along with a few other issues.
Click here for more information. A lot of these symptoms I attributed to teaching/stress, but that wasn't the case. I hate having blood drawn so so much (it hurts, I hate blood, and I hate the word vein, ugh-I hated typing it!) that I decided to give myself the holidays off from doctors visits ;)
On a brighter side, 2012 also brought a new puppy, Ollie! (Short for Oliver, shhh-don't tell Eric!)

And, if you have tried opening my blog recently, you might have gotten a "restricted access" message. Some of my students found my blog and I did/do not feel comfortable with that, so I blocked access to everyone while I figured out how to keep my students off the site. It's temporarily fixed, but with a new year, comes a new blog. Stay tuned, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Make this your year of happyness and wealth. Yeah, I know there isn't suppose to by a 'y', but I love
that movie!
